Student Hall Pass
Roam the halls of the school and get away with it! This kid craft project is a cute and crafty way for kids to leave the classroom. Use this hall pass to go to the nurses office and hopefully not to the principal's!
Materials:
DecoArt Products Required
- Americana Acrylics
- DAO10 - Cadmium Yellow (transparent)
- DA199 - Primary Red
- DAO55 - Kelly Green
- Medium unfinished wood tag, Lara's Crafts PT1001
- 30-mm round foam stencil brush
- 1/2" flat brush
- Scissors
- Foam plate
- Ruler
- Three 10" lengths of scrapbooking school-themed ribbons
- Ultra fine point and fine point black permanent markers
- Flame lighter
Steps:
Note: Let dry after each step.
- Use flat brush and Cadmium Yellow to paint tag.
- Refer to photo and use foam stencil brush dipped in Primary Red to paint four dots across upper area of tag.
- Use foam stencil brush dipped in Kelly Green to paint four dots across lower area of tag.
- Apply coat of Multi-Purpose Sealer to rectangle.
- Use fine point marker to write letters for "HALL PASS" over center of dots. Use ultra fine point marker to write teacher name at hole end of tag.
- Pull ends of three ribbons through hole of tag until center of ribbons are in hole; tie knot at edge of tag.
- Trim ribbon ends as desired and seal ends of ribbon with flame lighter to prevent raveling.
Helpful Hints:
Hair dryer on low heat setting can be used to speed drying process of paint.
Adult should supervise sealing of ribbon ends with lighter.
