All your friends and loved ones will love this Beary Merry Christmas Matchbox from Maria Nerius! This handmade Christmas craft is easy to make and everyone will love the cute little bear! Wish all your friends and loved ones a very "Beary" Christmas!
Materials:
- 4 3/4” x 11” White cardstock
- 4" x 4 1/4" Red glitter cardstock
- 4 x 3 3/4” Cardstock with image/print (polar bear shown in sample)
- 3” Coordinating ribbon
- 2 Sequin holly leaves
- 1 Pink jewel dot
- Trimmer or scissors
- Ruler
- Folding Bone
- Adhesive
- Stapler
- Optional: candy bar, photo, other inside surprise!
Instructions:
- You are going to fold the white cardstock into a matchbook. Fold bottom of paper up 3/4". Crease well with folding bone and staple at center. Now measure 5” from bottom and fold well using folding bone. From this crease you’ll measure 1/2" and crease well with folding bone. You have the folds to now take top of paper and slide into bottom stapled fold creating a matchbook.
- Trim image (this is from decorative paper, but you could also use a photo if you like). Mat onto red glitter paper. Tie ribbon into simple bow and adhere to top left corner. Adhere image onto front of white matchbook.
- Adhere the sequin holly leaves over front of staple and adhere a pink (or red) jewel dot to center covering the staple completely. You can put a candy bar (the square ones) or anything else that will fit inside the matchbook and still allow it to close.
