Starry Night Felt Christmas Card
All you need to create this dazzling Christmas card is felt, iron-on braids and a great imagination. This project is also fun to do with your kids, just make sure you do the ironing! This is a sweet card that is easy to make for the Christmas holidays...and you can decorate the Christmas tree however you'd like. You can also add a personal message inside to make this card even more meaningful. So gather up your craft supplies and get to making this sweet card so you'll have it in time for Christmas.
Materials:
- Blank card 4” x 5.5”
- Star print paper
- Green cardstock
- Felt Tree Shape
- Mrs. K’s Iron-On Medium #16 Braids: 6020, 6350, 6420, 6450
- Teflon press cloth
- Mini Iron or household iron
Instructions:
- Turn your iron onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly.
- Cut your star and green papers to fit your card. Glue them to the card.
- Decorate the "grass" by ironing the silver thread in loops on your green paper. Lay the thread at a starting point, cover with Teflon Press Cloth, and press for several seconds until the thread adheres.
- Adhere your tree to the card. With the silver thread, make 3 wavy garlands.Trim the threads at the edge of the tree.
- Using the blues and green, make ornaments on the tree by coiling the thread in a circle until you have a solid ball shape.
