Daffodil Flower
Daffodils are beautiful flowers. Crochet daffodil flowers will be great too! Create your own by following this easy, free pattern. Make several for a bouquet of flowers. This daffodil has 6 light yellow petals/dark yellow or orange trumpet, 6 yellow petals/yellow trumpet, 6 creamy white petals/orange or pink trumpet - all flowers have a yellow stylus.
Materials:
- Red Heart Yarn, Center and Petals 5 yds.
- Red Heart Yarn, Trumpet 3 yds.
- Stylus – DMC #743
- H hook
Instructions:
Center of Flower:
With H hook and petal color [leave 30” behind petals], ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join to beg sc.
Petals:
Work in back loop with J hook (sc, ch 2, dc, dtrc, dc, ch 2, sc) in each loop, join to beg sc and fasten off. (6 petals)
Trumpet:
Work in front loop join trumpet color with a sl st in any loop, ch 2, 9 dc evenly spaced around, join to top of beg ch 2 and fasten off.
With two 6 stands DMC #743 make 8 knots at top of the threads (forms the stamen and stylus), thread other end through the trumpet and center of the flower about ½” and secure to back.

General Instructions:
- If sewing flower directly to crocheted item omit instructions between [ ].
- If continuing a pattern behind the petals of a flower, use all instructions for the flower then crochet the following:
Rnd 1 – (Behind Petals)
With H hook and 30” strand of yarn (left behind flower) work in center of the
flower *sc between any 2 sc, ch 3, cont from * around evenly spacing 3 more
ch 3 sps, join to beg sc and fasten off. (4 ch 3 sps)
Continue with your pattern.

hi i have read the patterns for the flowers and don't understand "continue with your pattern after" Rnd 1. I don't know how to finish with the green wool. I would like to make the daffodil flower as a pin but can't finish it. Thank you Sharon
