I've made many of these. The guys in our family look forward to their new ones each Christmas. Love it.

Finally found a hat without a point on top. Lol

I love this pattern, but there was a V where all of the chain 3 added up on the end. should i just chain 2 on the new row?

This is my favorite pattern, so versatile. I had been making them in solid color with a stripe for guys. I addded an extra row and a soft fluffy stripe to rows 10/11 and14/15 and a fluffy 3 tiered flower and the girls went crazy for them. I have so many orders. Its making this long Maine winter shorter!

This is a truly easy pattern and works up very quickly. I belong to a group of ladies (the Knit-Wits of Edgewood/Joppatowne, MD) who make hats, scarves and afghans for charities. We've made dozens of hats using this pattern for local schools. The kids love them.

very easy pattern to understand and crochet. Makes for a great donation project for the needy as well. Not real time consuming.

im new to crochet,i have reached round 10 on this pattern, but i am concerned about the shape,it looks more like a woolen doily, when i finish the pattern at round 14 will it lookk more like a hat?

count your stitches ,if your over 56 pull out a couple rows. it will tighten up and look more like a hat as you progress

This pattern as my base for all the chemo caps that I make for donations! Wonderful pattern that whips up so fast and easy! Well over 500 made and donated and still going!

@asnunez So glad to hear that! Thanks so much for the comment!

This is a really great, easy pattern. I have made several of these over the past two years as gifts, and they have been well received.

@srcyprian Great to hear! Glad that you liked it! :)

Everyone wants one of these now!

this is a great pattern. i started using this pattern last year and made about 25 hats for christmas. i made the first hat using one strand of yarn and it seemed to not have enough body so i began making one with two strands and it looked so much better.

Love this pattern.....

I have made 28 of these caps. To make different sizes, I just changed hooks. Six months old - G hook. Kids - H hook. Everyone loves them.

loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it!

This is a very easy project to follow.I have not crocheted in about a year,so it helped me to get right back into it. Thank you so much.Gave it a "Good" rating.

This would be the perfect gift for the hunter on your Christmas shopping list. Or any person that likes the "camo" look. {male or female alike} The "camo" is "IN" right now & handcrafted by you it will be a huge hit. Also, if you crochet this hat in other colors and emblesh it with anything you wish imagine how many others you can scratch off your Christmas shopping list... Easy and practical gift giving this year.... Happy crocheting to all....
