After you chain 35 for the foundations chain turn your work mark the last chain made with a different color thread, then chain 5 more and skip 2 of the stitches that were done before the colored thread and single crochet in the next stitch. So the foundation chain is 35 . You are then making a chain 5 after that which is actually the beginning vBulletin of the second row. Hope this helps!

Love how colors stand out in this scarf from the black background.

like this one better the flowers pop out with the black background

After foundation chain 35.....you chain 5 more? Foes this mean chain 40 skip 2?

I don't understand what Round 3 means "(Next paragraph.........)" Could you please help me with this?

I love this scarf but I'm a beginner and very confused about what this means...(Next paragraph is the same as on the photocopy, but when it refers to the dc from Rnd 2, change to the sc from Rnd 2. I just dont see anywhere in the patter where this makes any sense. Thanks.
