I think I will make these in all the different sizes. I live in the southwest where you very rarely need to wear hats like these, but hey will make good gifts and donations for ICU babies and Chemo patients. Plus it looks like you could really whip these out pretty fast!

I have attempted to print this pattern, and I am told that it will not print. I am not a computer person, is this normal or do I have to push something other than print.

I made this for my granddaughter a while ago. The other day I took her out and she happened to be wearing this hat. I kept getting compliments on this hat from complete strangers. It's an adorable hat! Thanks so much for sharing the pattern!

"using two strands of yarn" with 1 ball of yarn. Does that mean that we are working with two strands of regular yarn as though it is one strand? Do you have any suggestions about not letting them twist? Do you suggest unraveling a ball of and cutting it in half an making 2 balls of yarn to work with?

I imagine you could use two complementary colors or two different skeins of the same color. I have done that on another occasion when the pattern called for bulky yarn but I could not find the color that I wanted. I just bought two skeins of the same color and used them together. It would be easy to use if you have something that keeps the yarn separate and it comes together right as you use it. I have a bag with two slits on top to run my yarn through that helps tremendously.

is there a way to incorporate the chain 3 beginning of each row with one of the clusters?

That is what I am having trouble with as well...starting each round of crossed-over clusters is not working the way the pattern is written. Clarification or better directions to start each round would be helpful.
