Hi there! Unfortunately this is an older pattern and we don't have the stitch counts at the end of each row available. I'd encourage you to post this question in our AllFreeCrochet community group on Facebook! Someone might be able to troubleshoot the stitch counts for you. I hope that helps!

This hat is just to stinking cute. I made my granddaughter a hat last year, where the brim rolled up on similar to this one, and she wore it every day. I think she is going to like this one just as much. I cannot wait to make this one for her. Thank you for sharing the pattern.

I have seen many patterns for doilies on this site one example: Crochet Doily in Pineapple Pattern. if you are not able to access this patter with what I have provided it is under kitchen cochet. That is the first one that I have in my saved projects. I also have many other doily patterns saved from other sites, if you are interested. If you contact me via email I will be more that happy to provide you with others. I dont know if it is against the rules of this site to divulge emails but I dont mind being contacted for the purpose of getting information about knit or crochet patterns. You may contact me at jhorton59@ comcast. net. if you will send an email I probabably can provide you with more patterns than you can crochet iin the rest of your lifetime. LOL

Please HELP me with this pattern;I made the crown and it is huge;I continued doing and finishing the brim. The brim seems o.k. but the crown is far to large. I tried to change crown to have 90 stitches; do you count the sc when counting 90 stitches?

I'll use round 3 as the example: do the 2 dc in sp between next two dc, ch1, then do what is in the parenthesis twice. Next start over and do all the the same things again. Repeat all this until the end of the round, leaving out the last 2 dc at he end. Hope this helps. I am just starting to try making this.

I have tried this hat three time, the last time just made my own design. Some where I am doing something wrong at the same spot each time. The hat turns into a curly doily looking thing and I don't know where the mistake is. Is it suppose to be curly and them straighten out as I go? HELP

This hat is fun to make, I have made it. It doesn't take a beginner to mis-count the rows and the number of changes. This one has a lot and even I get confused by them. If I know a pattern I can crochet almost anywhere. On this one I had a table in front of me with the directions laid on it. I also used a ruler to mark the row I was working on. I also use a paperclip to make where each row begins. Don't forget to repeat from the first asterist to last one in a row.

thank you for explaining the parenthesis. do I twice, 3 times, 4 times in the same 1 ch space or make the increase in the next ch 1 space. I'm not ending up with 90 sts at the end. I'm determine to make this hat. Please be patient with me. thanks

When you get to the portion in the parentheses, (work what is in the parentheses) twice. Then repeat what it says between the asterisk and continuing with what the pattern says. I hope this is helpful and makes sense. Let us know how you are doing?
