Forever 21 Knockoff Scarf Crochet Pattern

This Forever 21 Knockoff Scarf is a great accessory to add to your wardrobe. With some simple crochet techniques, you can create this infinity scarf pattern in no time. This scarf makes a great gift and no one will believe you made it yourself. An infinity scarf crochet pattern is a great alternative to traditional designs and is super trendy to wear. Give one as a gift during the holiday season or save it for yourself and wear it during the cold winter months. It's warm, toasty and so fun to make.

Easy

Crochet HookJ/10 or 6 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Materials List

1 skein of Caron Simply Soft Berry Blue
J crochet hook

Notes:

The beginning ch-4 always counts as the first stitch.
The stitch marker isn't actually necessary, but putting that in the pattern makes it a little easier to explain.

Instructions:

Ch 36.
R1: Place stitch marker in 6th ch from hk. Tr into next 2 ch. Dc into ch with marker. Remove marker. *Sk 1 ch (from the second tr). Tr into next 2 ch. Dc into the skipped ch. Repeat from * 8 more times (only one ch is left unworked). Tr into last ch.
R2: Ch 4, turn. *Sk next st. Tr in next 2 sts. Dc in skipped st. Repeat from * 9 more times. Tr into last st.
Repeat R2 as desired.
Note: To make the scarf wider or narrower, add or subtract chains in your starting chain in multiples of 3.

Neat head-wrap pattern! I don't wear these very often because I have really short hair and I always think a head-wrap would dwarf my hair/head. But this knock-off forever 21 head-wrap is no so big and bulky, and I am liking that a lot! The Caron Simply Soft yarns are among my favorites to use. My preference would be a deep teal.

Am I doing something wrong..according to your instructions you chain 36.. row 1 says repeat 8 more times but I had to do 9 more times and Row 2 i ended up doing 10 clusters..so If your instructions are correct wouldn't you chain 33 to get the results in your pattern..

There haven't been any comments for awhile, but I just found this pattern and wanted to say how much I enjoy it -- it is very easy to use once you learn it, and just moves along quickly. I just finished a cowl using this pattern that turned out to be quite beautiful, in a deep red. I did cut the number of crossed clusters back to eight on each row, as this is for a smaller person, and it worked out perfectly. The best thing is: no loose ends to work in! I left one long tail at the beginning, and used that to sew the ends of the scarf together to make the cowl...done and done! THANKS SO MUCH for this great pattern!

I am not comment on any of your patterns. I would like to comment though on "From The Web". I copied a couple of patterns & "From The Web took a page all by itself. This is a waste of paper for me even though I will look for an opportunity to use the other side. The next pattern "From The Web" took half a page after copying the pattern. I do not wish this stuff attached to my patterns, so I will have to cut that information off. It is a nuisance & it is annoying. Thank you. Janet CAulfeild

I am working on it right now and Love it. I wanted to use a lite yarn and found the first row a twisted mess so I used 2 strands for chain to stabilize then on to the pattern and it works up nice.

Thanks for sharing the video and written pattern for this scarf. Could you please clarify if the 'plus 2' stitches are required? You indicate a multiple of 3 plus 2 in the written instructions but only chain a multiple of 3 in the video. Thanks!

In your directions for the Forever 21 scarf, you have chain in multiples of 3 plus 2. In the video, you chained on 15, where are the 2 chains? Beautiful scarf, thanks.

I loved you scarf. But you were to fast and out of the Cameras Sight most of the time. You are a very good teacher. I love the scarf and video. How many starting chains are required for 10 patterns. In video you used 15 for 3 patterns but said you would need 33 for 9 patterns. For 10 patterns is it 30 plus 10 or 20. Thx

Love, Love, this pattern and how complicated it looks, however, you made it look so easy, I am going to start mine today as a gift for my daughter-in-law to be for her birthday on Sunday January 6...I like the versatility to make it as wide as one would like. I recently heard rumors of an 'infinity' scarf and love this pattern, but I have a question. The purple displayed scarf, looks like it has about 10 pattern repeats in a row and about 40 rows and then joined. But the finished blue scarf in the background in the video appears to be in the 'round' as the top edge of the scarf looks like an end row and it appears to be thicker as you held it up. It appears to be a tube instead of the purple one being a 'normal' scarf that was jointed together at the beginning chain and end ending chain row. The blue one also looks like it might be about 20 rows long. Just the way it was folded before you began it appears to be in the round. Is there a round pattern? Since I haven't actually 'seen' an infinity scarf, I'm not sure.

I love this forever 21 scarf and started it alone with the video, have made some baby shirts that have a stitch something like this one and I love the way it makes me look like I am knitting the cable stitch but am crocheting which I love to do. Knitting is just too slow for me. Thanks so much,
