Pink and Purple Crocheted Scarf
You'll love this free crochet scarf pattern from WEBS - America's Yarn Store. It has shades of bright pinks and purples great for any season. The flower pattern adds a nice embellishment of delicateness.
Finished Size: Approx. 10.5” x 63”
Materials:
- 4 sks Valley Yarns Rainbow (85% Wool/11% Acrylic/4% Polyester, 140yds/50g) color Orchidee (Bright Pink Combo)
- US F5/3.75 mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Pattern
Gauge:
Each flower is approx. 3.5” in diameter
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
sp = space
Instructions:
Flower:
Base ring: 6ch, sl st into first ch to join in ring.
Round 1: 6ch (counts as 1dc and 3ch), [1dc into ring, 3ch] 5 times, sl st to 3rd ch of 6ch.
Round 2: Sl st into first 3ch sp, 3ch (counts as 1dc), 3dc into same sp, 2ch, [4dc into next 3ch sp, 2ch] 5 times, sl st to top of 3ch.
Round 3: Sl st into each of next 3 dc and into next 2ch sp, 3ch, [3dc, 2ch, 4dc] into same sp, [(4dc, 2ch, 4dc) into next 2ch sp] 5 times, sl st to top of 3ch.
Fasten off.
Make 54 flowers in total – 3 strips of 18 flowers each, attaching the 2ch points of Round 3 as you go in the arrangement shown in schematic.
Finishing:
Sew in all loose ends and block lightly.

Yes, although the motifs are amazingly beautiful and it will make it seem like you are really making headway and at a quick pace- there will be ends to weave in. No way around that. Some tips- use clear nail polish on the threads that are poking out even after you've woven them in. Or spend your money and buy Aileen's fabric glue.

Very pretty scarf... but what is the best way to connect the motifs, without having a couple hundred little loose ends to weave in???

This pattern mentions a "schematic" to follow. I can't find the schematic. Can you tell me where to find it?

You'll find it just under the materials section. It says "Pattern" in green. Click on that and you'll go to another page that has the schematic.
