Seashells Crochet Scarf
Are you planning on being a beach bum this weekend? Within a couple of hours, you can crochet a breezy scarf reminiscent of seashells and the ocean shore. Materials:
- 2 balls Lana Grossa Stella yarn
- A small amount of white worsted weight yarn
- F-5/33/4MM crochet hook
- Diagram
Instructions:
5” wide (in the widest part) by 46” long.
A scarf is worked as one piece. See diagram.

With MC, ch 18. Join with sl st in the 1 st ch to form a ring and work in rounds.

Rnd 1(RS): ch 3 (counts as 1st dc now and throughout), 33 dc in ring; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 3 = 34 dc.

Rnd 2: ch 4, [dc in next dc, ch 1] 33 times; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 4 = 34 dc and 34 ch-1 sps.

Rnd 3: ch 13, sk 4 ch-1 sps, [sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 4] 30 times; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 14, turn = 30 sc, 30 ch-4 sps and one ch-10 sp. Cont work in rows.

Row 1: ch 3, 17 dc in ch-10 sp, turn = 18 dc.

Row 2: ch 4, [dc in next dc, ch 1] 17 times; join with sl st in 4th ch-4 sp, started from ch-10 sp of previous motif, turn = 18 dc and 17 ch-1 sps.

Row 3: ch 4, [sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 4] 12 times; ch 10, sk ch 4 sps, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 4, turn = 13 sc, 13 ch-4 sps and one ch-10 sp.

Rep Rows 1-3 until desired length 24 more times. Fasten off.

With RS facing, join CA with sl st in any ch-4 sp, ch • 4, [ch 3, sc] in each ch-4 sp around entire scarf; join with sl in 1st ch of beg ch 4. Fasten off.
- Weave in ends.

I like this pattern but the instructions and diagram don't seem to agree. It works properly if you follow the diagram.

What yarn would be a good substitute for the Lana Grossa Stella? I read that yarn has been discontinued.

This is absolutely beautiful. I love the pattern but the colors just make it. I thank you for sharing free with us crocheters. Your work is great and you should be proud. To think it only takes a couple of hours is just the icing on the cake...thanks

Love this pattern! have made many in different yarns; now have friends who are asking for the pattern and it does only take 2 hours to crochet! Simple and quick to make for gifts!
