Now this is a nice all purpose shawl for any age woman. It's got a nice classic color, a nice drape, not too bulky, and the stitch pattern gives it enough interest to make it look a little more out of the ordinary than a plain even stitch- such as a straight single or double crochet.

can anyone help? I'm not familiar with American yarn weights, would this shawl work up well in a lace weight yarn? thanks, Tas

As someone who is currently working this pattern, it is easy to make and looks beautiful in any solid color. I have not tried a varigated yarn yet. Good luck to all who try this pattern.

I have a friend who is a nurse and likes to sit and read -- beautiful shawl! It looks great with a broach as a clasp. I found the pattern to be challenging at first. The shawl turned out lovely.

This comment is directed towards crocheter nanam. Thank you for pointing out my mistake. However, the day that I misread the discription of this piece, my eyes went blind, lol as did my fingers did when I was commenting on the piece. I put in Crocher-In-Fl. Everybody has faults. However, when I posted that comment, I helped 3 crocheters and that I feel good about. I hope you have a good time making this piece let us all know how it turns out. This comment is directed to "Crocherinfl" on your May 23rd comment. You obviously read the notice WRONG. The notice said "It is not ONLY easy to make, but it will look fabulous on you." Missing one word in a sentence can change the whole meaning. I hope you don't misread crocheting instructions the same way! I frankly, can't wait to make this beautiful shawl.

I like your website for many reasons however when I read that this shawl isn't easy to make It got me to thinking So I had to comment on this particular item Please allow the crocheters decide easy or hard a pattern can or can not be I think that perhaps even a beginner can try the harder patterns if they have learned the basic stitches learned the abrievations for them and practiced making these basic stitches It's all in the way the patterns are explained If they are very clear and basic anybody that knows the lingo of crochet can and will be able to do it I have been crocheting for well over yrs and until I stumbled over this website by way of a search on crocheting I learned so much more in the last - weeks Also I would make up my own patterns but in my…Read More own opinion they by far are not as good as yours Well some of mine are down right awesome I have designed things that are not on your website I have not even seen them on the web at all Which is unique if you were to ask me Thank you so very much for having this website up and running I think it's helped a lot of crocheters like myself Also if somebody is having problems with a particular pattern they can go back to that pattern and get help from there or just simply contact you by way of e-mail and get direct answers to their e-mail It's that easy Crocher-in-Fl
