Red Lacy Capelet
A free crochet pattern like this lacy capelet is perfect for any woman to have in her wardrobe. It's an intermediate pattern that uses Caron's International Bliss yarn, from Caron International Yarns.
Materials:
- Caron International's Bliss (60% acrylic, 40% nylon; 1.76 oz/50 g, 82 yds/75 m): #0003 Ruby Red, 5 (6, 7, 8, 9) balls
- One size US K/10.5 (6.5 mm) crochet hook, or size to obtain gauge
- Tapestry needle (tn)
OPTIONAL
Row counter, Thin elastic for neck
GAUGE
In Stitch pattern, 2 Bobble plus ch-5 space = 5"; 6 rows = 4", unblocked
SPECIAL TERMS
First Bobble, Ch 2, work 3 dc in space or st indicated as follows: [Yo, insert hook in next st and pull up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops (leave rem loop on hook)] 3 times, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook.
Bobble: Work 4 dc in space or st indicated as for first Bobble (leaving last loop of each dc on hook), yo and draw through all 5 loops on hook.
Picot: Ch 3, slip st in third ch from hook.
STITCHES USED
Chain (ch). Double crochet (dc), Single crochet (sc)
NOTE
Capelet is worked in the round from the neck down; join each rnd with a slip st to the beginning of the rnd in st indicated.
CAPELET
Chain 59 (67, 75, 83, 91); being careful not to twist ch, join with slip st in beg ch to form a circle.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in same space as joining and in each ch around, join to first sc—59 (67, 75, 83, 91).
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, * work [2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc] 29 (33, 37, 41, 45) times, join to first sc—88 (100, 112, 124, 136) sc.
Rnd 3: Work First Bobble in first st, ch 3, skip next st, sc in next st, ch 3, * skip next st, work Bobble in next st, ch 3, skip next st, sc in next st, ch 3; repeat from * around, join to top of beg ch-2. **
Rnd 4: Ch 1, [sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5] in top of each bobble around; join to first sc.
Rnd 5: Slip st into ch-3 space, work First Bobble in same space, ch 3, sc in next ch-5 space, ch 3; * work Bobble in next ch-3 space, ch 3, sc in next ch-5 space, ch 3; repeat from * around, join to top of beg ch-2. Repeat from ** (Rounds 4 and 5) 9 (10, 11, 11, 11) times, or until piece measures desired length.
Edging: Slip st into ch-3 space, ch 1, sc in same space, work [(2 dc, picot) twice, 2 dc] in ch-5 space, * sc in next ch-3 space, work [(2 dc, picot) twice, 2 dc] in next ch-5 space; repeat from * around, join to beg sc. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Using tn, weave in ends. Optional: Weave a piece of thin elastic into Row 1 of neck line and adjust as desired. Blocking: For a lacier look, wet garment, squeeze excess water out by gently rolling piece in towels, then pin to a firm surface and allow to completely dry before moving.

There is no size chart to go with the numbers given or the amount of yarn it says you need. I don't know what size each number represents... I can't make it until I know....
