- RED HEART Super Saver (4 weight yarn): 2 skeins each 0381 Light Blue, 0724 Baby Pink, 0311 White
- Crochet Hook: 5.0 mm (US H-8) crochet hook or size needed for gauge
Design Measures: 43” x 50”
Gauge: 6 rows – 5”, Shell – 2”
Special Stitch: Shell – [(2 dc, ch 1) twice, 2 dc) in stitch or space as indicated.
Note: Design is crocheted in multiples of 7 plus 4.
Instructions:
Row 1 (RS): With blue ch 151, Shell in 7th ch from hook, *skip 6 chs, Shell in next ch, repeat from * across to last 4 chs, skip 3 chs, dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, *3 dc in first ch 1 space of Shell, ch 2, 3 dcs in next ch 1 space, repeat from * across, dc in last dc, fasten off and turn.
Row 3: Join pink in first stitch, ch 2, Shell in each ch 2 space across, dc in last dc, turn.
Row 4: Repeat Row 2, fasten off and turn.
Row 5: Join white in first stitch, ch 2, and continue with Row 3.
Row 6: Repeat Row 2, fasten off and turn.
Color Scheme
Continue pattern for a total of 58 rows as follows:
(2 rows each blue, pink, white) 8 more times. 2 rows blue, 2 rows pink
EDGING
With right side facing and white work along top edge sc in 3rd dc from right corner, *(sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5, sc, ch 3, sc) in ch 2 space, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc, sc in space between next 2 dc, sc in next dc, repeat from * across to last ch 2 space, (sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5, sc, ch 3, sc) in ch 2 space, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc.
Work along side edge *(sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5, sc, ch 3, sc) in dc space, sc in next dc space, repeat from * across.
Work along bottom edge sc in first dc, *(sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5, sc, ch 3, sc) in ch below Shell, 3 sc in ch space, repeat from * across ending sc in last dc.
Work along side edge as for opposite side edge matching stitches, join to beginning sc and fasten off.
