Decorative Seashell Spheres

Hold your ear up to a seashell....can you hear the ocean? Collect your seashells and actually do something with them. Make beautiful spheres to decorate your home.

Materials:

• STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam:
  • Balls, 5", two
• Natural sea sponge
• Sand
• Assorted small seashells
• Ceramic tile adhesive
• Rubber spatula
• Container of water
• Disposable container
• Clean, soft rag

Instructions:

1. Mix small amount of sand with tile adhesive in disposable container. Use spatula to apply mixture to one area of foam ball at a time. Use hands to press seashells into "grout."
    
2. Let set a few minutes, then gently smooth using damp sponge. Rinse sponge often in fresh water.
    
3. Let grout set up slightly, then wipe face of shells again with damp sponge. Let dry completely. Use clean, soft rag to polish shells.
