i couldn't watch the video on this pattern and i'd really love to see it but the instructions are good enough. the top can fit any 18" doll so that's great too. i remember my mom made so many of these tops for us when were kids they didn't have a lining or velcro but they were gorgeous.

I'm looking for a knit pattern of a 18" doll sweater and hat I saw on the holder of the knitting needles I purchased. It says to go to www. Simplesy.com and I tried but I could not find it.

Sorry, I can't even begin. Is there a video? It says video, but it's not there. I can't understand the instructions from step two, I am afraid. Confused. Thanks for any help.

Here is a link to a picture of my top and some pants I made. It came out a little crooked, but not a bad first effort, made from an old tablecloth!: http://pinterest.com/pin/56224695320770701/

The pattern didn't print right but I was able to approximate it. The biggest criticism I have is you didn't explain how to topstitch the sleeves. Being reversible, I had no idea how to do that. So I have a very nice top that I can't quite finish. Will search the web for a solution.

In her video she said the pattern fits on an 8x11 1/2 size of paper. Any luck to making it fit on the doll?

I printed this out twice. The first time it printed it too small. I opened it in a different program and it printed large enough the second time. But since I don't print in color, I had to add lines, the location of which I had to approximate. It fits my doll just fine. (It is not an AG, but a similar sized one)

Is the pattern to be printed on 1 inch graph paper? I made the top as is and it is way too small. It does not say on the pattern if it is to be enlarged when printed.

From end to end, my pattern fit the length of the paper, that is, it was 11". In the other direction, it was 5" at the widest.

I printed out the pattern but it looks way too small. Can you tell me how many inches the pattern should be from fold to sleeve? I don't have a doll to refer to.

I made this from the pattern and could not get the AG doll's hands through the sleeves. It would probably be ok with a knit stretchy fabric. I used cotton.

Carolyn, I thought both your reversible doll top and your sweet little sandals were adorable. This year my lil Serenity ( 4yr old grand baby) will get her first AG doll for Christmas. I sew my little ones clothes for her and she is such a great model. After the sticker shock of the doll and taking a look at the prices of her outfits, well needless to say her little AG will have a couture wardrobe ( one of a kind made by Grandma). I wanted to tell you how helpful your videos were and I can hardly wait to see your next one. Thank you ! Thank you ! Jamie
