Stars of a Golden Fall Necklace
Showcase beautiful fall colors with this glass bead necklace.
Materials:
- 32 - 11.5mm Curve metal beads, silver plated
- 33 - Ball star head pins
- 1 - 12mm 2-ring lobster clasp, silver plated
- 1 - Wide oval tag, silver plated
- 2 - 4mm Crimp covers, silver plated
- 2 - Size #2 Crimp beads, silver plated
- 18 in. length - Beadalon 49 Strand silver plated .015 in. wire
- 6 - 8mm Black bicone fire-polish glass beads
- 4 - 8mm Smoky topaz bicone fire-polish glass beads
- 4 - 8mm Topaz bicone fire-polish glass beads
- 4 - 8mm Peridot bicone fire-polish glass beads
- 4 - 8mm Plum bicone fire-polish glass beads
- Beadalon flat nose pliers
- Designer flush cutter
- Designer Ergo round nose pliers
Steps:
- Start making 21 dangles using 21 ball star head pins. Make a simple loop and wrap twice. Trim the excess wire and set aside.
- Make simple dangles using 12 ball star head pins. Repeat the procedure detailed in the previous step. Set aside.
- Attach the lobster clasp to the Beadalon 49 strand silver plated wire. Cover the crimp bead using the pre-opened crimp cover.
- String 6 curve beads alternating with 6 simple ball/star dangles. After the sixth dangle, slide one curve bead and 3 of the dangles made with the fire-polish beads. Repeat this pattern until all the dangles are strung. Follow the colors shown or create your own pattern.
- Repeat the pattern on the other side of the necklace using 6 curve beads and 6 ball/star dangles. Finish the end and cover the crimp using the pre-opened bead crimp cover. Trim excess wire.
- Slide the last ball star head pin onto the last fire-polish bead, make a half loop and slide the tag onto it. Finish the loop by wrapping it twice. Trim excess wire. Add this dangle to the jump ring.
Tip: To showcase the golden color more vividly with this design, use gold plated findings.
