Tidepool Choker and Earrings

Materials:
Necklace:
- Beadalon 19 Strand More Flexible Wire, .018” diameter
- Seed beads: light blue, dark blue, turquoise
- Fourteen 6mm round light blue fiberoptic beads
- Thirteen 6mm dark blue teardrop beads
- Fourteen 6mm turquoise bicone beads
- Two 2mm silver crimp tubes
- Silver lobster clasp & tag
- Beadalon Crimp Tool
- Beadalon Wire Nipper Tool
Earrings:
- Beadalon 19 Strand More Flexible Wire , two 1 3/4" lengths of .018” diameter
- 10 of each color seed beads: light blue, turquoise
- Two 6mm round light blue fiberoptic beads
- Two 6mm turquoise bicone beads
- Six 1.3mm silver crimp beads
- Two silver ear wires
- Beadalon Crimp Tool
- Beadalon Nipper Tool
Steps:
Necklace:
- Cut three 16 1/2" lengths of Beadalon 19 Strand wire. Hold the strands together and string a crimp tube 1/2" from the end. String the Beadalon wire through half of the clasp and back into the crimp tube to form a loop. Use crimping pliers to crimp the crimp tube.
- On one strand, string five light blue seed beads, a fiberoptic bead and ten light blue seed beads. Repeat this pattern thirteen more times, then place a piece of adhesive tape over the strand end to prevent the beads from slipping off.
- On another strand, string five turquoise seed beads, a turquoise bicone bead and ten turquoise seed beads. Repeat this pattern thirteen more times, then place a piece of adhesive tape over the strand end to prevent the beads from slipping off.
- On the last strand, string five dark blue seed beads, and then place the strand end through the first turquoise bicone bead. String five dark blue seed beads, a teardrop bead, five seed beads and place the strand end through the first fiberoptic bead. String five more seed beads, a teardrop bead, five more seed beads and place the end through the second turquoise bicone. Repeat this pattern, weaving loosely back and forth between the two strands, until you reach the end of the necklace.
- Remove the adhesive tape from the strand ends. Hold the strands together and string a crimp tube and half of the clasp. Place the strand ends back into the crimp tube to form a loop. Use crimping pliers to crimp the crimp tube.
Earrings:
- Fold a 1 3/4" wire length so one end is 1" and one end is 3/4" long. Hold the ends together and string a crimp bead onto the wires. Push it up toward the fold to create a 1/8" loop. Crimp it. String five turquoise seed beads, a turquoise bicone bead and a crimp bead onto the 1" wire. Crimp the crimp bead. String five light blue seed beads, a fiberoptic bead and a crimp bead onto the 3/4" wire. Crimp the crimp bead. Attach an ear wire to the upper loop.
