I almost can't believe how easy this knitting pattern is. It's even easy enough for a beginner like me, though I'm sure it will take me more than 2 hours.

I LOVE this scarf. It's so versatile, and it doesn't take all year for me to finish it. I've already knit up two of these for myself. I guess I can now officially start making them for other people )

Love this scarf and, as a beginner, I'm finding it super easy - but it's surprisingly SLOW for me . . . because of my beginner status??? I'm thinking the 2-hour scarf will end up being a 2 week scarf (I put in 2 or 3 hours a day on the weekend and and hour or so on weeknights . . . ) Ha ha. Think it will be SO worth it, though!

Perfect pattern for a beginner, easy and quick. I would also suggest not adding any fringe for a man's scarf.

For knitters having trouble with any stitch or knitting process (casting on, binding off, increasing, decreasing, etc.): There are YouTube videos of just about EVERYthing you could want to know about knitting, including the Sashay ruffled scarf pattern! Happy knitting!

Love this knit two hours or less scarf. I crocheted one similar to this , in that it crosses over to side. Neither of these pictures show using a pin/brooch to keep together but I suppose that is the idea. With mine, I have been wearing it with ends hanging down and have gotten compliments because it is short (with fringe about to waist) and it makes just a good neck warmer . I think I will try this knitted one, especially since it is so quick to do. love and prayers

Probably-look up sashay yarn and patterns for this yarn on that website-they usually publish the patterns from the labels to the web site first. I think Sashay is Red heart-go to the Red heart site and click on the yarn, scroll to the bottom of the info and there is an option to see patterns for the yarn-click through those until you find what you are looking for.

Hi, ardela58 1951181. If you ever have specific questions about a pattern, I would recommend contacting the pattern designer directly (specified in the byline). In this case, it is Lion Brand Yarn Company. You can contact them here: http://www.lionbrand.com/contactUs.html Good luck! --Editors of FaveCrafts

Honestly, that is an advanced technique that you have not quite developed the skills for or at least you hadn't when you wrote this comment. If you feel you have the skills to give it a go now and have not already learned it, my best suggestion is to look up tutorials or youtube videos, as I mentioned it is an advanced technique that is easier to see to learn than following written directions.

As specified in the pattern, you need 1 skein of each color or 180 yards of 3 different colors. this is a triple stranded pattern, so you are knitting with 1 strand of each color at a time.

Garter stitch means that you knit each row - back and forth -- no purl stitches.
