I personally just did this is a garter stitch (knit every row) and it turned out nice and soft. Can't wait until it's cold enough to see if it keeps my neck warm this winter.

What is so difficult it that beginners do not know the abbreviations off by heart and even if we did, we don't understand the language because we are beginners... What is so difficult to understand in that? When something says 'pattern for beginners' they really need to see things from a beginners view point, ie, we barely know what wool to get for what needle size...

Something like "Next row (WS) K3. Purl to last 3 sts. K3."is not something even remotely easy to a novice. We don't even understand that lingo! We need something to decipher the lingo used in knitting! Thanks, OHDAWNA
