Sjp9921 You can frog (unravel) unwanted sweaters (or other knitted or crocheted items) and then reuse the yarn to knit into baby hats (or other items). If you do a google search for how to reuse yarn, you will (or should) find some helpful hints on the best way to ready it for reknitting. Good luck, hope this helps and happy knitting. Tip: a good place to get yarn to recycle is thrift stores and yard sales, sometimes yardsales you can get them for free if the people are just about to close down for the day and just want to get rid of stuff.

I had read somewhere of recycling old sweaters into baby hats. Is there a pattern for this or has anyone else tried this? Yhanks
