How to Make Ombre Painted Layered Canvas Art

Brighten up your walls and add a cool touch to a traditional project. Learn how to make Ombre Painted Layered Canvas Art from Tiffany Windsor and change the way you look at DIY wall decor. Layer small canvas onto a bigger one for a multi-dimensional effect.

With white paint and a dry brush, you can create an ombre effect with any color. Simple squirt white paint onto a paper plate and add the color of your choice. Paint your color on the canvas and then, with your unwashed brush, add some white. Add more and more white to your canvas to create a shaded effect. When the large canvas is dry, you can adhere smaller canvases using Aleene's Tacky Glue. Add adhesive letters, scrapbook paper and more to create a cool design on your piece. You can't go wrong with colorful yet inexpensive wall decor.
