Instructions:
-
I colored the filter papers from Fancy Pants by applying the Dual Brush colors to a piece of plastic, then misting with water. Lay the filter die cuts into the color, lift and let dry. They dried very quickly with a heat tool!
-
I choose a 6.5 x 3 x 5 box from Walnut Hollow. I can always count on their boxes to be perfectly square and easy to cover with paper - my favorite method of decorating boxes!
-
Remove any hardware on the box. Cut the Fancy Pants paper into panels to cover all the surfaces. It was so easy I also covered the inside of the box. Use MONO Aqua Liquid glue to attach the paper panels to the box.
-
The broad applicator is perfect for laying on the glue all over the backs of the paper panels. Make sure you go over the edges to make sure every little bit adheres properly. Don’t worry if you get glue on the front of the panels - it dries matte and invisible! The paper will not wrinkle on the box, just make sure you smooth down firmly with your fingers.
-
The stamp-edged piece was applied with the new TOMBOW Foam Tabs to give it dimension.
-
I used both the new TOMBOW Power Tabs and Foam Tabs to add embellishments to the top of the box. As I worked on the piece, it was interesting to note that the Power Tabs are also easy to remove if misplaced when arranging.
-
The bundle of cards was held together with a piece of matching ribbon from the ‘it’s the little things’ collection. A TOMBOW Fastener Tab is used to holds the ribbon ends together, even as the bundle shrinks as the cards are used.
-
The matching cards used the same papers, embellishments and gluing techniques to create.
-
I also used the new Dots Stamp Runner to glue the paper panels together.
- Note: When applying the colored filter papers to a cardstock panel, the paper will warp slightly. When dry, it will flatten perfectly when you attach the panel to a card blank with the Dots Adhesive.
