Secret Sister Flower Bookmark

Make a sweet bookmark for a Secret Sister at church - or for any friend and family member anywhere - as a thoughtful gift. The iron-on thread makes the rubber-stamped image 3-dimensional.

Materials:

• Kreinik Iron-on #16 Braid 6500 Hydrangea
• Teflon Press Cloth
• Mini iron or household iron
• Purple and green stamp pads
• "Spring Garden" stamp set from Stampin' Up (or similar)
• Extra pieces of metallic ribbon for tassel (we used 1/8" Ribbon in 092, 012, and 007)
• White cardstock cut to 5 1/2" x 2 1/2"
• Fancy-edged scissors
• Hole punch

Instructions:

1. Turn your iron onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly.
    
2. Stamp the flower image onto your white cardstock. Let dry.
    
3. Trim the edges of your cardstock with the fancy edged scissors.
    
4. Iron the purple braid onto the purple flowers: lay the thread at a starting point, cover with the Teflon Press Cloth, and press for several seconds until the thread adheres. We make swirl circles in the center of each flower.
    
5. Punch a hole in the top of the white cardstock and run extra pieces of ribbon through as a tassel. If desired, write a passage from the Bible or other favorite saying on the back.
