Thank you ladies for your comments. I am glad to see others trying to recycle and reuse. I did the shirt by hand because it is easier for others to see how it is done. A machine sometimes gets in the way of things. . I have made many other ones for friends. It is easy by hand to me than using my machine. The only thing is to make sure to do the X in the corners and also do a second seam to make the bag secure because sometimes thread wears down. Great seeing others taking time to learn to make things from something they would normally toss out or not want to toss out for sentimental reasons. .

So simple and a great way to reuse a t-shirt that has memories and you are also recycling.I will use a sewing machine to make it quicker. I love this video it explains things well. I would have never figured out the way the drawstring came together without the video. Never used a t-shirt for it. Thanks. Anyone else ever done drawstrings with a t-shirt?

This is very easy to make. I did sew mine on a sewing machine but it is nice to see a version with hand sewing for those who don't have a machine. This pattern really shows off the front graphics of the tee. Thanks for sharing this. Yeah for up-cycling !!!!
