Beaded Dollar Store Crown
Be the queen for a day and make your own Beaded Dollar Store Crown from Heidi Borchers. This is a great craft for a birthday! Dollar store craft ideas don't have to look cheap or break immediately. In fact, you won't be able to tell just how inexpensive this project is to make.
Materials:
- Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue
- Dollar store plastic crown
- Miscellaneous beads, charms, rhinestones, jewelry pieces
- Craft wire (34 gauge and 22 gauge)
- Wire cutters
- Butterfly stickers
Instructions:
-
Cut a long (but manageable) piece of 34 gauge wire.
-
Wrap and secure end of wire on back of crown. Wrap wire several times around, across and up and down around crown. This will add stability and interest.
-
With a piece of 22 gauge wire secured at back, add beads to wire and wrap around crown vertically, aligning beads to fit that particular section of crown. Continue to wrap and add beads for desire pattern on crown.
-
Cut 22 gauge wire to approximately 12″. Glue butterfly stickers back-to-back on end of wire. Swirl end to create visual interest and glue or wire to crown.
- If desired, create more wire swirls and attach to crown.
