Egg Carton Scavenger Hunt

Go on an epic scavenger hunt and see how many nature items you can find! Collect them in the egg carton as you go! You can even find your own items using the extra blank cards.

Materials List

  • Scavenger hunt cutouts (included in book)
  • Scissors
  • Coloring supplies, such as markers, paints, colored pencils or crayons
  • 18- or 12-count egg carton
  • Extra-strong glue
  • Cardstock

Instructions

  1. Cut out and color the scavenger hunt cutout cards. This sample project was colored with markers.

  2. If you plan to use a 12-count egg carton, choose 12 of the cards you want to use. If you plan to use an 18-count carton, use all 18 cards or pick 16 and make two of your own on the blank cards.

  3. Glue the cards to a piece of cardstock that will fit in the top part of your egg carton. Glue the cardstock piece to the top of the egg carton. (You can also glue the cards directly to the top of the egg carton.)

  4. Start your scavenger hunt! How many items can you find? Don’t worry if you don't find them all. Save your scavenger hunt for another day and try again!
