Paper Accordion Hearts

Paper Accordion Hearts

"These little paper accordion hearts are so simple to make but so cute, and a nifty way to use some of those wine corks I’ve been saving! They also add a sweet touch to your Valentine’s table. Made from just craft paper, a wooden skewer, and a wine cork, they take very little time; and they are perfect for beginner craftsmen. They make a wonderful addition to a sweetheart table setting or even a bridal shower or party."

Materials List

  • wooden skewer
  • craft paper
  • wine cork
  • hole punch
  • glue gun

Instructions

  1. Using a template, trace a heart onto a folded sheet of craft paper and cut. Unfold.

  2. Carefully fold the heart accordion style. Once folded, punch a hole in the center, as shown in photo below.

  3. Insert the pointed end of a wooden skewer into a wine cork. Thread the skewer through the punched holes in the paper heart. Hold in place with a small dab of hot glue at the top back of the heart and again at the bottom back of the heart. These little accordion hearts make a fun addition to Valentine’s Day decorations as well as wedding showers and other parties.
