- Put the jacket flat on the working surface.
- Fold the printer paper in half and slide it inside the jacket, between the back and front sides of the jacket this will prevent the ink from staining the back side. Keep this paper in place until you have completed the design.
- Put the printed design on top of the printer paper, underneath the left front side of the jacket, so that the design will show through on the front side.
- Trace the design with a pencil first.
- Now draw the design with the black pen.
- Color the chick with the yellow pen.
- Use the orange pen for the beak and to add some color to the feet.
- Use the black and brown pens to draw short criss-cross lines over the chick’s outline and over the wing, to create the appearance of a fluffy little chick.
- Add some shadows to the chick with the brown pen.
- Use the leaf green pen to add some grass around the chick’s feet.
- Use the yellow and dark blue pens to add some highlights and shadows to the grass.
- Use the red and orange pens to add a few small flowers.
- Add a dark green border all around the jacket, as well as around the sleeves.
- Color the fabric in the press studs red, so that it will look as if the jacket has small red buttons.

- Add a small black butterfly to the sky.
- Allow to dry for 72 hours before washing.
