Bottle / Jar Cap Ornaments
"Every year I try to add a warm handmade touch to our Christmas decor around the house: giving new life to vintage ornaments, crocheting a star garland, recycling ornaments and turning them into table centerpieces. This year I decided to make bottle and jar ornaments. The idea sprouted from a box filled with tiny wooden figurines / toys we have. A couple of years ago, I succumbed to my urge and bought 2 boxes with approximately 40 such toys and normally, not all get to be hanged on the tree. So I decided to use several of these toys and make some new ornaments for our tree. "

If you enjoyed making the Bottle / Jar Cap Ornaments, here are a few more Christmas craft ideas to try:
1. Clay Ornaments: Create personalized clay ornaments for your tree by molding and shaping air-dry clay into festive shapes like snowflakes, stars, or even mini Christmas trees. After the clay has dried, you can paint them in your favorite colors and add glitter or other embellishments for a sparkling touch.
2. Fabric Scrap Garland: Turn leftover fabric scraps into a beautiful garland to adorn your Christmas tree or mantel. Cut the fabric into strips and tie them onto a long piece of twine or ribbon, alternating colors and patterns to create a festive look. This is a great way to use up fabric scraps and add a cozy, handmade touch to your holiday decor.
3. Paper Snowflakes: Get creative with paper snowflakes by cutting intricate designs out of white paper. Hang them from your tree or tape them to windows for a beautiful winter wonderland effect. You can even add glitter or sequins to your snowflakes for a touch of sparkle.
4. Hand-painted Ornaments: Purchase plain glass or ceramic ornaments and let your creativity shine by hand-painting them with holiday designs. You can create custom ornaments with your favorite colors, patterns, or even personal messages. These ornaments make great gifts for family and friends, too.
