Materials List

  • Pair of jeans
  • Fancy fabric: use brights, textured, prints and even home dec material
  • PinsĀ
  • Sewing machine

Instructions

  1. First measure from the hip just below the knee, cut the jeans and be sure to save your scraps; we’ll use these to measure the fabric added to the bottom of the jeans.

  2. Fold your fancy fabric in half, lay the denim scraps on top of it and measure the width based on the width of the knee. The length can vary depending on how long and wide you want your new pants.

  3. Sew the length of the fancy fabric together.

  4. Turn it inside out and pin right sides together at the knee.

  5. Sew around the knee.

  6. Now pull the fancy fabric right side out and down away from the denim.
