Aleene's Bread and Glue Mosaic Tiled Frame
If you're looking for ideas for creative homemade gifts, consider creating an Aleene's Bread and Glue Mosaic Tiled Frame from Heidi Borchers. This project is simple and fun. Plus, you can use a vintage homemade bread dough recipe for the individual tiles.
To create the bread dough, simply combine Aleene's Tacky glue, white bread and cold cream in a plastic cup. You can also add in some acrylic paint to change the color of the dough. Once dough is formed, roll it into balls and stick it in a ziplock bag. Roll out the dough on your workspace and stamp an image. Cute the image out of the dough and allow it to set overnight. Using a paintbrush, cover your dried dough with craft chalk. Spray a sealer over the surface and begin working on the next tile. Before you know it, you'll have a memorable, colorful picture frame.
