How to Create a Whimsical Fabric and Wire Flower
Floral craft ideas are a fun way to celebrate spring. Grab your favorite fabric and learn how to create a Whimsical Fabric and Wire Flower from Linda Peterson. This creative and fun project is perfect if you want to get rid of scraps. Use these flowers to embellish gifts and more!
For this project, you will need 20 gauge wire. Create loops by bending the wire - this will help you create the petals for your flower. Align the fabric with one of the wire loops and attach the two using an overcast stitch. Repeat this process for each of the petals and before you know it, you'll have a fun little flower. Garden-inspired art looks good all year long, so make a few and save them for later.

Loved this video on how to make this whimsical flower to use for creating many different crafts. Makes it so easy to follow and these would be great to use on a scrapbooking or a collage to make a very cute art piece. This is also a great way to use up those fabric scraps that you have laying around. So simple using wire, fabric and thread. A stunning piece. What are you using this on? Pictures?
