How to Make a Fabric YoYo Embellished Candle Votive
Looking 4th of July crafts to make before your next big cookout? Learn how to make a Fabric YoYo Embellished Candle Votive from Linda Peterson that will add a patriotic touch to your table. You can even find a cheap candle votive at your local dollar store.
For this project, you'll need a simple clear glass votive. Grab some scrap fabric and cut out a circle. Fold in the edges and use a running stitch along the outside. Gently pull the thread to create a gathered, yo-yo look. Choose another, longer piece of scrap fabric and wrap it around the clear votive. Tape the fabric to the votive and adhere the fabric circle to the decorated votive using a glue dot. Add a button to the circle for a fun touch.
