Love in the Language of Yarn (LILY)
Love in the Language of Yarn (LILY) is an organization that helps provide orphans and refugee children with a little warmth and comfort through knit and crochet hats, scarves, mittens, blankets, and much more. Managed by Dianne Jones, LILY was started in memory of Dianne's granddaughter, Lily Iris Gibson. LILY prides itself on providing garments and blankets for those in need throughout the world.

This appears to be a worthy charity focused on helping the thousands of refugees fleeing conflict in places such as Syria. While the site asks for cash contributions, there is also a way for knitters and crocheters to get involved by donating 8" squares to be assembled into blankets along with hats, mittens etc. Its a small way for people to share their resources with those less fortunate.
