Project Linus
Project Linus National Headquarters is located in Bloomington, Illinois. National President Carol Babbitt and Vice President Mary Balagna direct and orchestrate the activities of Project Linus chapters located across the United States. Both have been involved with the organization since late 1998, as chapter coordinators and now as directors and officers. They also maintain a very busy Central Illinois chapter, donating an average of 350 blankets every month to local children.
With chapters in all 50 states, Project Linus continues to grow. Blankets are collected locally and distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug.

Everyone must see this wether you sew, quilt, crochet, knit or even do the no sew blankets if everyone would just donate one blanket this would make a huge difference in someones life. What a great charity. Watch the video and lookat the faces of these children and adults and see how just this one simple blanket can make a difference and tell me it is not worth donating. In summer get your kids involved or scout troop or summer camp craft. I am certainly going to look into this and let everyone I know about this. Do you make blankets just for fun then this is a great place to send them? Just one could changea life.

I think this is stellar! O am. Definitely going to contact a local chapter and donate blankets. I love to make them but after I'm done I like to give them away. Making blankets is a huge stress reliever for me. I crochet or knitt every night. I usually have several projects going at once. What a great idea!
