DIY Foosball Shoebox
"A foosball shoebox is a simple and easily made project because everything you need you will have at home. It is the perfect kid's toy which can be done in under an hour and your kids can help you make it. While you are busy cutting and gluing, give your children the chance to color the entire shoebox the way they like it. It is a special feeling to make something with your hands and your kids can feel that too."

Materials List
- 1 old cardboard shoebox
- 6 or 8 plastic straws or wooden dowels
- 10 or more clothespins
- 1 ping pong ball
- Sharpie & Ruler
- Scissors or utility knife
- Glue and clear tape
Instructions
-
take a shoebox and cut 3 or 4 holes on long sides of the shoebox for the rods. The number of holes depends on the size of the shoebox. Keep in mind that the holes have to be one across the other. Not that the holes are done, you have to make goals and they are located on short sides of the shoebox. The size of the hole should be twice the size of the ping pong ball in width and in height.
-
Give your kids the soebox and let them color it. While they are busy coloring, start making rods.
-
To make the rods you will need straws and wooden dowels. Fill the straws with wooden dowels and put them in the holes you made in step 1. Straws are easy to bend and we don't want that, so to avoid bending we are using the wooden dowels in the straws.
-
Now, there is only one step left and that is to make the players. The players are clothespins and you can divide them into two colored teams, by the color of the clothespin. All you need to do is to fix them to the rods and you can do that by putting some glue on the rods and attach the clothespins.
