Princess crowns have never been lovelier. Make the sweetest DIY princess crown with this tutorial.

Lace is one of the most exquisite details on most garments, and when you use this material to make a princess crown, you will be one classy lady. Don't forget glitter, and let your light sparkle. This tutorial requires only a few basic materials you likely already have on hand. Collect lace leftover from a previous project, fabric stiffener, and your favorite sparkly paints to create your crown. This would be a darling birthday party craft for all your little princesses.

  • Lace ribbon or crochet trim remnants
  • Scissors

  • Fabric stiffener
  • Paintbrush

Instructions:

  1. Using your scissors, cut the lace ribbon into 10” or 12” strips and lay them flat on parchment paper.

  2. Pour fabric stiffener into a small bowl. Using your paintbrush, cover both sides of the lace ribbon and let sit for 24 hours.

  3. Cover both sides with spray paint, if desired. We used Krylon glitter spray paint in gold and silver to give ours a little extra sparkle!

  4. Once the ribbon is dry, glue both ends of the ribbon together to form a crown.

  5. Voila! You’re a princess. :)
