Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Materials:
- 4 skeins Red Heart Classic yarn in Sea Coral
- 4 skeins Red Heart Classic yarn in White
- 5.0 mm (US H-8) crochet hook or size needed for gauge
Gauge: Rows 2-5 – 3 ¼”; 8 dcs – 2 ½’
Special Stitch:
- Cluster (Cl) – *Yo, insert hook in specified stitch or space and draw up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops on hook, repeat from * twice more in same stitch or space, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook.
Instructions:
Afghan is crocheted in multiples of 6 plus 5.
Afghan Measures: 42” x 51”
- Row 1: With coral ch 137, dc in 6th ch from hook, *skip 4 chs, (dc, ch 2, dc) in each of next 2 ch, repeat from * across to last 5 ch, skip 4 ch, (dc, ch 2, dc) in last ch, turn.
- Row 2 (RS): Ch 5, dc in first dc, *skip 2 ch 2 spaces, (dc, ch 2, dc) in each of next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last 2 ch 2 spaces, skip last 2 ch 2 spaces, (dc, ch 2, dc) in last dc, turn,
- Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next ch 2 space, ch 2, dc in next ch 2 space, *dc in next 2 dc, and in next ch 2 space, ch 2 dc in next ch 2 space, repeat from * across to last dc, dc in last dc, turn.
- Row 4: Ch 3, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next ch 2 space, [dc in next 4 dcs 2 dc in next ch 2 space] across to last 2 dc, dc in last 2 dc, turn.
