Beautiful, but wouldn't give this to a baby, too many holes for fingers and toes. Very complicated pattern for a baby blanket.

What does the pattern mean when it says '1 sc in next ch-5 sp?

Hi BobandJan5055--Thanks for the comment. "1 sc in next ch 5 sp" means you're going to do one single crochet in the next chain-5 space. Hope that helps!--FaveCrafts editors

Here is a link to the pattern from the Bernat website. It has the astericks where they need to be. I went searching for it when I couldn't figure out where to repeat from and to. Lol. http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=1110 You may need to be a member of the Bernat website due to it being a free pattern. I hope this helps you all. :D

I just finished making this blanket and it came out beautiful, the only problem I have with it is that the 2 middle rounds do not lay flat. I only did 4 rounds of the border since I made this for a boy and didn't think that 8 rounds were necessary. It was easier than i thought it would be, and I really like the fact that you connect eagh block together as you crochet it went a lot faster that way. I would definitly make this 1 again.

I agree with first comment. The directions say to repeat but it does not tell you where to start repeating from. Also, I find the format more difficult to read. I had to go through and highlight where each round/row began. I will look for another pattern that clearly indicates where rows begin and where to start the repeat from. I would really like to make this pattern if these issues can be fixed.

HELP!!! In rows 2-5, there are no asterisks to indicate where to start the "Repeat from across" instruction. I am trying to make this baby blanket for a friend's shower next week, and I need to know exactly where to start repeating the pattern on each of these rows. (There are no asterisks in the Edging rounds 1-3 either.) Can you help?
