Poncho is worked in joined rounds from neck down to lower edge. A neckband is worked around neck edge when poncho is finished.

Row 1: With right side facing, slip st in any ch-1 space on Round 1, ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 6 ch, slip st in next ch-1 space of Round 1 – 7 sc.

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, working in back loops only, sc in each sc.

Row 3: Ch 1 turn, sc in next 7 sc, slip st in next ch-1 space. Repeat Rows 2-3 around neck edge. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Using long tail, sew first and last rows together. Weave in ends.
