In a Jiffy Scarf

In a Jiffy Scarf

With only 11 total rows to work, you’ll fly through this stunning pattern. In just a few hours, you can add this stylish detail to your colder weather outfits. This gorgeous scarf is long enough to customize your wrap and has a ton of flexibility since it’s worked up with a long triple crochet stitch, which is also wonderfully meditative and easy to memorize. Use a super soft, bulky yarn like I did, and you can make some incredible gifts for the ones you love.

    Notes

    1. Beginning ch counts as a stitch in this pattern.

    2. This scarf is worked lengthwise.

    3. Ch loosely for your starting/foundation ch or go up a hook size for it. This helps to ensure your scarf isn’t pulled tighter on one side.

    4. To make your scarf longer, you can add more sts to your foundation chain.

    5. Gauge: Work your gauge swatch over a repeat of Rows 2 and 3. If your turning chains seem tight on Row 3, try making a chain of 4 instead of 3.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Scarf Ch 172.

Row 1: (RS) Starting in the 4th chain from the hook, tc169. [170 sts]

Row 2: (WS) Ch2, turn, hdc for the row.

Row 3: Ch3, turn, tc for the row.

    Rows 4–11: Repeat Rows 2 and 3.

Note: If you want to add more width to your scarf, continue in pattern, ending after a RS row.

  2. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Voila! You’re done! Block your project.
