Ribbed Granny Stitch Cowl

Ribbed Granny Stitch Cowl
"I made the ribbing wide so that it could be pulled up over my face to keep it and my ears warm if it was windy. When not windy, just fold over the ribbing, and it makes for a beautiful collar to go with the granny stitch handkerchief-like pattern. For my cowl, I used Berroco Vintage Yarn, but Lion Brand Wool Ease is a great alternative. For a warmer cowl, use a yarn with more wool in it. The more synthetic fiber, like acrylic, the less it will protect against the wind. This cowl took me about three and a half hours to complete."
