Instructions
-
Cut several 5-1/4” foil tape strips. Working with two strips at a time, arrange inside the Burlap embossing folder (foil tape side up, right side of folder down); run through Big Shot. Remove embossed strips and repeat until all strips have been embossed with either Burlap or Postcard embossing folder.
-
Remove protective paper from one strip. Starting in the center of the jar, place strip across the jar, carefully wrapping around the corner edges. Repeat with a second strip on the opposing side. Measure remaining areas, trim if needed and add remaining strips onto the glass jar, overlapping tape edges slightly so there are no gaps where the glass will show. When complete, all sides and bottom of jar should be completely covered with embossed foil tape.
-
Press the strips securely around lid edges. Using paint brush handle, gently burnish edges and corners to smooth down any sharp spots.
-
Squeeze a dime size dollop of black acrylic paint onto foam plate or palette. Quickly brush paint across the foil strips. Lightly wet paint brush and carefully brush again to remove excess paint. The results should give the illusion of an antiqued finish. Dry completely.
-
Cut flower pieces and leaves from canvas. Stamp phrase on all pieces with Wicked Black; dry. Spray leaves with Avocado and spray flower pieces with Banana , Tangerine and Guava; dry completely. Add ribbon trim around lid edges and secure with Small Zots™.
-
Assemble flower and leaf layers and secure with Medium Zots™. Attach to lid with 3-D Zots™. Add button center with Medium Zots™. Add ribbon trim around lid edges and secure with Small Zots™.
