How to make Heart-Shaped Wooden Herb Garden Markers
"Making these heart-shaped wooden cut-out herb markers is super easy. There are multiple ways you can make them: You can label them by hand (this is what I did and I provide you with a free practice sheet with various herb names), but you could also label them with a vinyl cut-out made with a Cricut or Silhouette. In this tutorial, I'll explain how to label them by hand. Materials to use: wooden hearts cut-outs (two for each herb marker) BBQ bamboo sticks pencil + eraser artist pen (Faber Castell in size F) Hot Glue Gun If need be, you can practice your hand lettering with a free practice sheet I provide over at http://craftifymylove.com/freebie. This shouldn't take you longer than 15 minutes. If you want to make herb markers for 3 - 5 different herbs, this should take you another 15 minutes."

Prepare the wooden cut-out hearts. You'll be needing a pencil and a ruler for that. Trace three lines. The middle one dividing the top and lower one into 1/3 and 2/3.

Now you'll be labeling the hearts with an artist pen (I used one from Faber Castell in size F). The guiding lines you drew in step 2 will help you write the herb name evenly.

Using a hot glue gun you'll be sticking two hearts (one is written on, the other not) together. You'll be placing a BBQ bamboo stick between those two hearts. There is a detailed video tutorial on my blog for you.
