Flower Mason Jar
From the Designer: "Paint a mason jar with a glitter effect then add a gorgeous flower to the front! This mason jar will look great in your craft room holding paint brushes and so much more! The simple flower can be made with just a pair of scissors and some very special material from Rinea. The glitter effect comes from two different paints from Plaid Crafts. This includes their new Glitterific paint that gives a stunning effect in just one coat."

- Mason jar
- Color shift paint
- Glitterific paint
- Rinea foiled paper
- Diamond dots
- Hot glue

Instructions

Paint the mason jar with a couple of coats of color shift paint in the color of your choice. Allow to dry in between coats.

To make the flower, fold the 4x6 Rinea paper in half lengthwise and cut flower petal shapes with scissors.

Add a slit in the bottom of each of these shapes.

Use the handle of a paintbrush to curl the opposite end of each petal.

Fold the slit over itself and secure with hot glue to complete each petal.

I made two layers of petals that were curled out and two layers curled in. I then secured these together with hot glue to make a flower.

For the center of the flower, I used leftover Diamond Dots from a project and secured them in the center in a puddle of hot glue.

Cut leaves from the green Rinea foiled paper. You can score lines on these and secure to the back of your flower with hot glue.

Finish the mason jar with a pallet knife and some Glitterific paint. Add a thick coat and allow to dry completely.

Then use hot glue to secure the flower on the front of the mason jar. Add in paintbrushes or whatever you want to organize in your craft space.
