I knit and crochet and have found that keeping up with yarn swatches and patterns was starting to spread out everywhere. To help me keep this all tidy, I got a small photo album. I can fold the skein band, tape a small piece of yarn to it near the color and dye lot info and take it with me to make sure I get the right color and brand.

what an awesome idea or use a 3x5" card and holder and just pull the card you need either way you have it going on!

I love this idea....I do it every time that I start a new project.....I just need to consolidate my project sheets, by grouping all of the projects that I have completed using the same pattern together and make space for new projects sheets with all of the same information...I place mines in those clear plastic sheet protectors, and place them in three ring binders...now I will have more space.
