Pattern Organization
Pattern Organization by Nanfanc4153
Make a copy of the front and back of each pattern. Back to back if possible. Make a notebook with tabs for dresses, jackets, pants, etc. Store the copies in numerical order and store the patterns in boxes in numerical order. Eventually you won't have to buy patterns because yours are organized. Always make a copy of every new pattern that you purchase and insert it in your notebook and the pattern stored in numerical order. I now have four notebooks with pictures of my patterns and many boxes of patterns. Easy to find....in numerical order.

I have reams of patterns for sewing, crocheting, knitting, rug hooking and more. So, I have binders that are labeled for each item such as: doilies, curtains, doll clothes, sewing patterns, afghan patterns, and so on. then these binders are stacked on a shelf in my basement craft area. as to my yarn - I pursuaded our bulk barn store to part with some of their empty bins, once cleaned these are perfect for storing yarn and cottons. just label the outside as to the type and you are ready to pick and choose with out errors.
