Altoid Small Collage Ornament
"I make a lot of things out of altoid tins. People give them to me all the time. A friend of mine gave me a bunch of altoid smalls and I decided to make mini collage ornaments out of them. I make large ones out of the regular sized tin lids. I submitted a wagon project that I use the bottoms of the tins for - nothing goes to waste."

BBQ the altoid small tin lid. Let cool.
-
Print out digital image or other decorative paper to approximate size, cut out and round corners using the corner punch. Glue into inside of tin lid using mod podge, let dry, outline image with glitter glue and let dry.
-
Glue image to back of Glass Cabochons using diamond glaze, Let dry and then glue the Cabochon onto the tin using E6000.
-
Punch a hole on the top and bottom of the tin lip using the awl. You can do one in the center or two holes towards the corners on the top or bottom depending on what size charm you will use.
-
Create a wire loop at the top of the tin using the 6" piece of wire, using beads on the wire for decoration. put the wire through the hole and make a flat spiral at the other end. Fold spiral up to make a hook to hold the loop in place. feed ribbon through the loop on the top of the tin to use as a hanger. Make a flat spiral with the wire, feed it through the bottom hole and make a flat spiral on the other end of the wire bend end over, attached charm or bell with Jump rings. The ones in the photo I used old belt buckles for the charm wrapping flower and leaf beads. I also glued a rhine stone bracelet around the edge to give it some bling but this is optional.
