Instructions
-
Remove caps from ornaments and set aside. Cover work surface with newspaper. Pour approximately a teaspoon of floor wax into one ornament at a time. Swirl ornament until entirely coated. Avoid shaking the ornament so bubbles do not form. Turn ornament upside down onto jar or can and let rest 30 seconds to drain excess wax. Blot neck of ornament off onto a paper towel. Pour at least a teaspoon of glitter into the ornament. Hold two fingers over the opening or cover with a small piece of tag board. Shake the ornament until entire inside is coated well with glitter. More glitter can be added if needed. Gently tap excess glitter out of ornament. It may not be reusable as it may have picked up moisture from the wax. Repeat with remaining ornaments using a different color glitter or Glamour Dust for each one. Let dry several hours or overnight.
-
Use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to gently clean outside of ornament then carefully replace caps.
-
Zebra: Pick up the Crystal ornament and use #5 round and a generous amount of Black to freehand Y shapes diagonally on the ornament (Fig. 1). Use #3 round to make smaller irregular stripes to fill in-between the Y’s. Use the liner brush to finish the stripes to a fine point and to make some thin lines here and there (Fig. 2). Continue the pattern until the ornament is filled with design. Let dry several hours of overnight. Touch up any areas not fully covered with a light 2nd coat of paint.
-
Tiger: Pick up the copper ornament and the #3 round and a generous amount of Black to paint two vertical V shapes (Fig. 1). Use the #1 round and the liner to paint filler stripes (Fig. 2). Continue the pattern until the ornament is filled with design. Let dry several hours of overnight. Touch up any areas not fully covered with a light 2nd coat of paint.
-
Leopard: Use the Gold ornament and the #5 round and Burnt Sienna + touch White to base irregular spots until opaque. Use pure Burnt Sienna to basecoat each spot again (Fig. 1). Let dry. Use the #3 round and a generous amount of Black to paint thick, broken outlines around spots (Fig. 2). Use the #1 round to paint small back filler spots here and there.
-
Snow Leopard: Pick up the silver ornament and use the #5 round and White + tiny touch Black to base the spots until opaque (use same technique as for the regular leopard above). Let dry. Use the #3 round and a generous amount of Black to paint thick, broken outlines around spots. Use the #1 round to paint small back filler spots here and there.
